Everything.... The rats under the floor were the icing on the cake. Very dirty, careless staff, no blankets and radiators switched off; Boston is not warm. It was only booked as there were no other rooms available and at £108 per night this was the worst rip off I encountered in the us.

The Farrington Inn is nice and friendly, but there really are too many rats in the parking lot.

    Good

The reception was pretty friendly and helpful, room and bathroom was clean.

TV was broken, you have to pay before entering the room.

    Good

The hotel was neat and the staff rendered services very smartly.

No provision of certain basic stuffs like hangers or hooks for clothes and lockers, for guests.

Ac was not working, the bed was really uncomfortable, no soap in the bathroom. No elevator, I think I rather pay few more doallers and get something better next time.

    Fabulous

Friendly service, good that they thought to change separate rooms to an apartment. Excellent for a one night stay.

Location is a bit out of the way but can be reached by the greenline T easily.

    Exceptional

Excellent service, convenient location, very good price.

    Fabulous

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were quaint but neat. It would be my first choice to go with my girlfriend when returning to Boston. Felt more like a home then an inn.

It was a little cold, and the the blankets were thin.

I loved the neighborhood. Great ethnic restaurants at a reasonable price and a fun thrift store a block away.

The aesthetic was miserable. It made me feel like Raskolnikov, from Crime and Punishment.

    Very good

I really enjoyed my stay. I moved into the inn due to an emergency situation that required me to move all my stuff out of my apartment in less than 24 hours. Not having a lot of money, I desperately looked around for a budget hotel in the Boston area that had very few instances of bed bugs and a price I could afford after forfeiting 2 weeks of rent. I found the Farrington. It was quiet and nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a good, quiet place for me to gather my thoughts, while at the same time being close to convenience stores, restaurants and shops.

The bathroom facilities were quite old. Servicable, certainly, and not so bad that I had reservations about using them, but the tiles were cracked and the porcelain yellowed. Compared to the cleanliness of my room it was a bit strange. There are no elevators, and three floors. So if you have trouble making it up the stairs be sure to ask for a room on a lower floor!

    Superb

The place had old world charm and was good value and reasonably priced, considering how expensive accommodation is in Boston. It was also close to the light rail service that gets you downtown to areas like the theatre district. I would stay there again without a doubt.

The wi-fi dropped out in the morning which was a little disappointing.

    Fabulous

Close to cafes for breakfast and evening meals. Good train connections to city and airport. Reasonable price compared to all other hotels in Boston. Was able to book on line

Room was clean but needed refurbishment. Same for bathrooms.

    Reasonable access to Boston,

Bed not clean, odd location separate from main building. Dear at even at the price. Have stayed in much better, cheaper youth hostel.

    Fabulous

I am a solo traveler who wants to see as much of Boston as possible and just wants a safe, reasonably clean, accessible place to lay my head at night. I do not want to pay hundreds of dollars a night for a hotel just to sleep. For this, teh Farrington did very well. The hotel is an older house in an apparently safe, vibrant neighborhood with good restaurants nearby and good access to the T. I found the staff helpful and courteous.

Rooms were not well insulated against noise, the neighborhood is fairly noisy, and the clientele may be an eclectic and young group who enjoys staying up talking through the night. Consider a set of earplugs or a white noise machine.
